In the final event of the 2016 season, RVRG presents a full-contact roller derby at the Sandy Hill Arena on Saturday, August 6th! 60 Mann Ave will be the place to be when the doors open at 7pm. The last game of RVRG’s 2016 season begins at 7:30pm and you won’t want to miss a minute as the Riot Squad and Slaughter Daughters battle it out for the Home Team Championship title.
Tickets:
$10 in advance or $12 at the door.
(Kids 10 and under free. Limit 2 per adult please.)

Beer? Oh we got it. Two delicious kinds of beer from Clocktower Brew Pub will be available for sale on the slab before, during and after both games. Bring your ID and camping chairs to settle in comfortably inside the Clocktower Beer Garden. (Sorry, alcohol is not permitted in the tiered seating.)

Sandy Hill Double Header – July 23rd

RVRG presents another amazing double header of full-contact roller derby on Saturday, July 23rd! Make your way over to Sandy Hill Arena for a terrific night of roller derby. The doors will open at 5:30pm and the first game will kick off around 6pm.
In game #1: RVRG’s B-team the Sirens will take on the Tri-City Plan B of Kitchener-Waterloo. Game #2 is the continuation of our Home Team Tournament with the Prime Sinisters taking on the Slaughter Daughters fighting for a spot in the Championship finals.

Fresh Meat starting July 3rd!!

Learn to play/referee roller derby with the Rideau Valley Roller Girls!
We’re offering our next introductory roller derby program (aka our Fresh Meat program) starting July 3rd 2016. The program is designed to teach roller skating and the basics of roller derby to complete newbies. Our aim is to offer a safe and welcoming space for you to develop your skating and roller derby skills before joining in our regular league practices but there is no obligation to join the league.
- No experience on quad roller skates necessary
- We will train you to skate, stop, hit and whip safely
- Accepting women and men 18+
We offer:
- Training in a friendly and encouraging environment
- Coaching by some of the best skaters in the province/country
- An opportunity to learn and play competitive roller derby, if you desire
