In our last bout of the home season for Rideau Valley Roller Girls are pleased to present a double header featuring Ottawa’s first Men’s Roller Derby Game:
Bout #1: the Slaughter Squad Men’s Team (Ottawa) vs. the Mont Royales (Montreal)
Bout #2: the RVRG Riot Squad (Ottawa) vs. CCDD Dolly Rogers (Ottawa)
The bouts blasts off at 6:30 pm (Doors open at 6pm).

Derby, Baby: A Story of Love, Addiction and Rink Rash.

Rideau Valley Roller Girls and the Mayfair Theatre present the Ottawa Premiere of: Derby, Baby: A Story of Love, Addiction and Rink Rash.
This international flat-track roller derby documentary will be screening for one night only on Tuesday, August 14th at 9pm at the original Mayfair Theatre: 1074 Bank St.
Tickets:

$10 at the Door.
The venue will be licensed (Hogsback!) so bring your ID and join us for beer, prizes, and good time!
About “Derby, Baby!” the movie:
Narrated by actress/musician Juliette Lewis, the film features the derby “rock stars” who are propelling the sport in its latest incarnation, including Suzy Hotrod, DeRanged, Rettig to Rumble, Tannibal Lector, and Varla Vendetta. Skaters from around the globe — Ireland, Scotland, Brazil, Australia, Finland, New Zealand, France, the U.S., Canada, etc. — share their common addiction to something that’s more than a sport to them. It’s a community, a source of strength, and a way of life.
Four-Wheel Fury Double Header – July 21st

Bring on the hits! Roller derby crashes into Ottawa again when RVRG present Four-Wheel Fury on Saturday July 21st at Barbara Ann Scott Arena (2250 Torquay Ave)!
2 games of WFTDA class competitive roller derby get underway when the first bout blasts off at 6:30 pm (Doors open at 6pm).
In the first bout RVRG’s Slaughter Daughters will take on the Venus Fly Tramps of Kitchener, then RVRG’s Riot Squad face the Disloyalists from Kingston. This is set to be the most competitive match ups of the season!
Be sure to bring your ID for access to the Hogsback Brewery Beer Garden and get on the slab for the action.
