Roller Derby madness in Ottawa: RVRG announces the 2015 Home Season Schedule!

The Rideau Valley Roller Girls are proud to announce the schedule of our seventh consecutive home season of competitive flat-track roller derby in Ottawa!

In the 2015, we have SIX scheduled events running from February through July.
Mark your calendars for the following Saturdays: February 28, April 11, May 16, June 13, July 4 and July 25!

The first two games give our fans in the east end a chance to cheer on their hometown heroes at Jean-Marc Lalonde Arena at 1523 Du Parc Ave. in Rockland.

On Saturday, Feb 28th, come on down for an exciting B-team all-star game: the Rideau Valley Sirens are taking on the Montréal Sexpos. Doors will open at 7pm for this, our first event of the season.

Then on Saturday, April 11th, 2015 we’re holding a double header event that is sure to bring the heat when the Rideau Valley Vixens (our all-star A team) challenges the the formidable New Skids on the Block (Montreal). For the second game of the night, RVRG Slaughter Daughters take on last year’s league champs the Prime Sinisters in the first of our home team games. Doors at 5:30pm / First game at 6pm.

In May, June, and July the action moves to Nepean. Catch us at the Barbara Ann Scott Arena in the Pinecrest Recreation Centre – 2250 Torquay Ave for the four remaining events of the season.

On Saturday, May 16th the RVRG Slaughter Daughters face off against RVRG’s Riot Squad. Then on Saturday, June 13th, the RVRG Prime Sinisters and RVRG’s Riot Squad will continue the battle for league supremacy.

Be there for our double header on Saturday, July 4th! It’s going to be a great night of derby when the Rideau Valley Sirens battle against the Feims of Wellington County, Ontario. For the 2nd game we’re holding the Home Team Semi-Finals (2nd and 3rd place team will to battle for a spot in the Championship game)

Then the culmination of our Home Team season occurs on Saturday, July 25th with the RVRG Home Team Championship FINALS. Which of our three amazing home teams will reign supreme? Come catch all the action at this, our season ender.

Tickets for all events will be $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

RVRG’s ABSOLUTEly Hilarious Comedy Night – Sunday February 8th, 2015 at 8pm

Chase those winter blues away with an hilarious night at Absolute Comedy (412 Preston St.) on Sunday, February 8th, 2015  in support of the Rideau Valley Roller Girls. This ABSOLUTEly hilarious comedy fundraiser will start at 8 pm sharp.

How do you do it? Easy – just buy your $10 ticket in advance from any RVRG member. Once you have your tickets, please contact Absolute Comedy at 613-233-8000 and let them know you’re with the Rideau Valley Roller Girls fundraiser on Sunday, February 8th to get your seat assignments.

Arrive before 7:30pm on Sunday, February 8th and get ready to Laugh Out Loud!
We’ll also be holding a 50/50 that night!
