Roller Derby Double Header – June 25th

Centretown folks rejoice! Roller derby makes it’s return to downtown on Saturday, June 25th, when RVRG presents a double header of full-contact fun at Sandy Hill Arena . Make sure you’re there when the doors open at 5:30pm because the action will kick off around 6pm.
Game #1 will pit the scrappy RVRG B-team the Sirens versus Les Buches, an independent team of players from Quebec. Game #2 will be the continuation of our Home Team Tournament as the Prime Sinisters take on the Riot Squad.

$10 in advance or $12 at the door.
(Kids 10 and under free. Limit 2 per adult please.)

Beer? Oh we got it. Two delicious kinds of beer from Clocktower Brew Pub is available for sale on the slab before, during and after both games. Bring your ID and camping chairs if you want to settle in comfortably in the Clocktower Beer Garden. (Sorry, alcohol is not permitted in the tiered seating.)

Approximate Schedule for June 25th:
5:30 / Doors open and the Clocktower Beer Garden begins serving!
6pm / Bout 1 – Rideau Valley Sirens vs Les Buches (Quebec)
60 minutes of gameplay with 10 min intermission at Half time
8:00 (ish) / Bout 2 – Rideau Valley Home Teams: Riot Squad vs Prime Sinisters
10:00 – Close / Clocktower Beer Garden remains open at the arena for a bit of post-game debauchery

Here’s your chance to see some of the best Roller Derby on the continent, right here in Ottawa.
In a rare Friday night event, BOTH of RVRG’s All-Star teams will be taking on challengers all the way from Tampa, Florida.
You’re in for a terrific night of derby at the St-Laurent Complex on Friday June 3rd. Make sure you’re there when the doors open at 5:30pm – because the action will kick off around 6pm.
