Yoga in Centretown – Fundraiser for the All Stars

The Ottawa Valley All-Stars are running a series of yoga classes in Centretown Ottawa as a fundraiser for their travel this spring.When: Monday nights 5:30-6:30pm from May 21st to June 25th
Where: Rideau Curling Club (715 Cooper Street) – You must bring your own mat or towel
Price:
Package of 4 weeks of classes is $35
Package of 6 weeks of classes is $55
Drop-in fee: $12 per class
Cash only please. Registration and payment at the first session
The classes will be taught by All-Stars Mel Austin (aka AustinTatious) and Kaitrin Doll (aka Beef) both trained yoga instructors.

First game of the 2018 season announced for Ottawa Valley Roller Derby

OVRD presents… a Double Header of Full-Contact Roller Derby on Saturday, May 5
It’s a new league, new teams, and a brand new season for the skaters of Ottawa Valley Roller Derby. OVRD is proud to present their first ever full-contact double header. Join the fun on Saturday, May 5th at Brewer Arena when doors open at 5:30pm for the inaugural event of the 2018 season. The first combatants will be the OVRD’s Men’s Roller Derby Team: The Slaughter Squad taking on “The World,” a team of skaters from around Eastern Canada. Game 2 will be an OVRD Home Team Battle: Centre Block vs. East Block. You won’t want to miss a minute of either of these exciting games.
This is a family-friendly and a licensed event. Feel free to bring your camping chairs into the Kichesippi Beer Garden and your I.D. to partake in the fine local craft beer available for purchase.
Admission is $10 with tickets available at the door (Kids 10 and under get in free. Limit 2 kids per adult, please).
We hope to see you at Brewer Arena (200 Hopewell Ave in Old Ottawa South) on Saturday, May 5th to kick off of OVRD’s 2018 season!

Start of game #1: 6pm (Two 30 minute periods)
