Roller Derby in Centretown – Saturday, July 8 at Sandy Hill Arena
Now that the two home teams for the Championship finals have already been determined by mathematics (it’ll be Slaughter Daughters vs. Prime Sinisters on August 19th) We’re going to do something special for this event on July 8th. RVRD presents: The battle for Ottawa – West vs. East. An hour-long full-contact game pitting the two halves of the city against each other. The entire league will be divided into a black and white: West side vs. East side on Saturday, July 8th at Sandy Hill Arena. Come on out and cheer for your neighbourhood. Doors open at 6 pm and the Battle for Ottawa begins at 6:30 pm.
This is a family-friendly and a licensed event, so bring your camping chairs for the best seating in the Beer Garden. Just make sure to bring your I.D. and you’ll be able to partake in the fine craft beer, cider or coolers that will are available for purchase.
Tickets are $10 in advance online here http://rvrdjuly8.brownpapertickets.com or $12 at the door. (Kids 10 and under free. Limit 2 per adult please)
