RVRG Presents: The BIG Roller Derby Weekend!
It’s Ottawa’s BIG DERBY WEEKEND! Kick it off on July 19th at Marion-Dewar Plaza as the Rideau Valley Roller Girls bring you a FREE Outdoor Exhibition game. Watch Canada’s number one home team, the Rideau Valley Slaughter Daughters, take on their home league rivals Rideau Valley Riot Squad in a full contact, hard hitting derby extravaganza!
First whistle will be tweeted by the Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson.
Game starts at 7:30pm. Get the full derby experience with cool vendors, delicious food, an amazing beer garden and of course outstanding roller derby. And best of all… entry is FREE!
THEN, we’re back the very next night with two full contact roller derby games for your viewing pleasure on Saturday, July 20th at Barbara Ann Scott Arena (2250 Torquay Avenue in Nepean). Doors at 5:30pm / First game starts at 6:00pm
1st game: Slaughter Daughters vs. ToRD’s Bay Street Bruisers (Toronto)
2nd game: Riot Squad vs. Forest City’s Timber Rollers (London)
Tickets: $12 Advance / $15 at the Door / Kids 10 & under: Free (Limit 2 per adult please)
Feel free to bring a lawn chair or pillow as we are only permitted to serve beer on the slab. Get close to the action, build a beer-a-mid and be sure to bring your ID.
